It's at the back of Market Square where Kadoya use to be/where the Suncorp ATM and branch is! It has a giant orange sign and is really easy to see. Yeah, I forgot to take a picture of the sign, my bad.
The restaurant is very simply decorate and reminds me of someone's home. They have heaps of condiments for you to spice up your meal with, Japanese mayonnaise, soy sauce, chilli and soy sauce, chill flakes, pickled ginger and shichimi powder.

VGirl got the teriyaki tofu don, it came with four giant cubes of silken tofu cooked and then drenched in a teriyaki sauce, a scoop of potato salad, pink pickled radish, a small heap of salad and rice. She said she had it multiple times and that it was a good vegetarian meal. She loves Japanese style potato salad and she said this one was quite good.

Arghhhh, its all touching! |
The chicken karaage were absolutely freaking massive, you can't really see it from the angle but it was! Each of the five pieces were as large as the single croquette pictured. They were super golden brown crunchy, tender and very flavoursome chicken under the coating. The takoyaki was just a single serve but it was served super hot and had small tender octopus pieces. The cream croquette was pretty good as well. The salads were great as always, I don't think I've ever had a bad Japanese salad of any kind.
The karaage were huge! |

Atmosphere: 6, it looks like someone is cooking out of their home. Very simple looking place.
Service: 10, great. Super polite and efficient Japanese service. They clear tables in record time!
Food: 8, pretty good food. I'd definitely go here again for cheap Japanese food in Sunnybank.
I got contacted about promoting the James Street Food and Wine Trail, currently in its 3rd year and running from the 31st of July to the 3rd of August.
