Yeah, so this place is VGirl's go to place in Sunnybank, Mini VGirl's, HK Boy's and mine as well. I think VGirl eats here at least once or twice a week so if you go here, you'll probably see her there. I've been here three times since I first started working on this post. They make amazing everything and especially fried chicken.
This place is super easy to find as its on a corner intersection~!

The interior is bright and clean, nothing particularly special with it. There's a lot of hand written specials on the walls and there's always a K-Pop or RnB music video playing whenever I go there.

There are a few tables outside that you can sit at as well. There seem to be lots of little cute succulents on all the tables.

My aunt requested green tea the first time we got here and she was very pleased with the green jasmine tea that we received, it was very fragrant with no bitterness to the brew.

I got the tropical island coconut hot chocolate! It had that distinctive coconutty aroma and flavour to the creamy hot chocolate. It wasn't overly sweet so I added some sugar to it. I had it made on soy milk and it was still fantastic.

My aunt felt like noodles so I recommended the seafood udon with a soy sauce base for her to try, apparently VGirl loves these udon noodles and orders them every time. Our seafood udon came with cabbage, carrot, onion, green onion, tender squid, prawns, mussels, crab legs, bonito flakes and Japanese kewpie mayonnaise to garnish.

I was really surprised at the inclusion of crab legs but it made for an interesting time of picking through the noodles seeing what else appeared in the mix. There were three or four of them that I remember, and I wonder what they do with the rest of the crab since there are no other crab dishes on the menu? Maybe that's just part of their seafood mix?

We got some banchan side dishes, I've never received them any of the other times I've eaten here so I wondered if they stopped due to lack of popular demand perhaps? The one on left is some soy braised tofu which I always find ridiculously delicious to eat and the right was a quite sweet kimchi.

I got the smoked, sweet and spicy pork belly and squid with rice and fried egg dish. All of their rice dishes seem to have a basic combination of veggies being carrot, onion, garlic and cabbage to round things out. The pork belly was beautiful! So meltingly soft with its succulent ribbons of fat. The squid was cooked to perfection as well, so tender and not rubbery at all. The sauce was well balanced but only mildly spicy, it wasn't anything spectacular with that being said. The egg had a lovely runny centre as well.
I received a pickled radish banchan to got with my yang nyum fried chicken. It was lightly pickled so it was not quite crisp or too sour yet.

Here is the small serve of yang nyum chicken wings! I got eight wing, drumstick and wing tip pieces hahaha! I only managed to finish off two of these pieces while I was there and I took the rest home with me to have the next day. Its a ridiculously crunchy deep fried wing, one of those ones that shatters on impact, with a thin crispy layer on top, they stayed crunchy well into the next day. The sauce was little bit too sweet for my liking but still enjoyable. I think they've changed the dish slightly since the menu was made since they no longer put rice cakes in the with the dish, although it still comes with crushed peanuts on top.

The day that we went, they had a complimentary dessert platter as well. Pear and raspberry loaf, pandan cheesecake and an orange and almond cake. My personal favourite was that super creamy pandan cheesecake, although my aunt preferred the moistness of the pear and raspberry loaf.

I went again about a month later. I had this massive triple berry tingle made of frozen strawberry, raspberry and blueberry! They also include some apricot jam I think to help sweeten things up. It was a giant icy drink that I really struggled to finish. Wonderful stuff!

I had a craving for beef bulgogi so I went ahead and got it. It came out billowing steam and smoke when it arrived at my table and VGirl was even envious, despite being a vegetarian. It had a super appetising smell of smoky soy sauce, onion and garlic. I love the thinness of bulgogi and this one was good but not as good as the caramelised goodness of the bulgogi burger from Miel I had. Just like the spicy squid and pork belly mix I had, it had a mixture of carrot, onion and cabbage as its vegetables.

I got the winter special of honey and soy sauce fried wings, once again in the massive small serving. Once again, I failed to finish it. I managed three pieces this time and ate another one later that day at work, but two of the other girls at work L., and Z., ate a piece and they said it was the best fried chicken they ever had. God, I love a good Korean Fried Chicken, its honestly the best fried chicken ever and especially with the sauces they use. Once again, I thought this was overly sweet but I still ate it all.

I went here again with Mandy after we joined the gym. We are not smart people but we thought it would be a good celebration before we had to clean eat and exercise. I got the delicious chicken karaage don, its nothing special, lots of deep fried, crunchy chicken, a fried egg, some salad and rice. Its still very tasty and super cheap with that being said.

We got the kimchi pancake to share between us. It was slight crispy around the outside but became slightly doughy in the centre. The kimchi was a little sweeter than I'd like but we still finished it off relatively easily.

Seoul Bistro
Atmosphere: 7, bright little cafe. Lots of tables with cute plants on them.
Service: 9, really polite and efficient service. The staff recognise my friends and I since we go so often :P
Food: 9, large portions of cheap and delicious fusion food. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.
