RJIE 10: Vintage Teas

Ages ago I went to the Eumundi Markets with my Boyfriend, one of the things we picked up there were these really cute little bags of tea. They have a beautiful retro design on each of the different flavours that I found to be very eye catching, the black tea being brightly coloured leaves and the green tea being bright fronds. They were three for a dollar, in individual foil sealed packets and also available in a larger collection of really cute boxes. You can also buy them from this website.

L-R, black tea, orange, wild berry, strawberry and mint
I got a mix of green and black tea flavours, a single black tea, orange flavoured black tea, apple flavoured black tea, strawberry flavoured black tea, wild berry tea and a mint green tea. My Boyfriend picked up a strawberry black tea, green tea and an apple flavoured black tea.

Aroma wise, all of them were remarkably fragrant with a lovely sweet scent and an easily discernible aroma. Flavour wise, apart from the strawberry black tea, they were a touch weak, both VGirl, who stole some of them, my Boyfriend and I agreed this was the best flavour. They would be idea for small cups of tea, but if you used a mug or larger, a lot of the flavour was diluted down or would probably require another tea bag.

A really pretty tea though, and I would highly recommend this as a gift for someone who likes delicately flavoured teas.

  2. Thanks, I generally blog Brisbane based restaurants and every now and then do a review of an uncommon food item that I've seen around. Snacks and drinks are the sort of thing I've posted before in RJIE - Random Junk I Eat, things that I've tried that I recommend to people so they don't have to waste money on something that could be bad.
